In contrast to other robovacs that we test, the i3+ EVO has self-emptying bins that dump debris into an external dirt compartment on its charging base when it's filled. The i3+ EVO is able to prevent overfilling with a self-emptying bin. However it still needs to be manually emptied at the end of each cleaning session. The i3+ EVO dustbin can hold 2.4L, which will last for four to five cleaning sessions.
The i3+ EVO, just like the i7 uses state-ofthe-art floor-tracking sensors to produce maps. It also lets you navigate through neat rows. However, the i3+ EVO only stores one map, while the i7 is able to store multiple maps. The i7's map can be used to create virtual barriers and no-go zones, but not for the i3+ EVO.
The i3+ EVO is more effective of picking up surface debris compared to some other robovacs we've looked at, but it's not the best at cleaning corners and edges. It's also less gentle on furniture, despite being fairly quiet. It was quite rough on furniture, as it pushed chairs away. It also made some collisions against the sides of the test bed.
